In a nutshell:
Collector's object !
Year of construction: 1934 / 1994
Comment regarding year of building: Documented
Detailed description of the object:
The dwelling house built first of the property was erected in block planks (solid wooden planks, see historical black and white photo) construction method. The master builder and owner at the time, grandfather of the current house owner, was a master carpenter who loved wood more than any other building material. A touching and beautiful newspaper article from 1935 describes the character of the builder and the process of building the house. (Copy on request).
Much has remained as it was in the year it was built, including the wood-framed single-glazed windows. The bathroom, kitchen and boiler room were later renovated and - according to the bathroom - modernised, but the old charm still shines through in these rooms.
On the ground floor - a mezzanine - there is a kitchen, dining room, living room and study and the master bedroom. as well as a bathroom; on the upper floor under the roof there are two children's rooms, a toilet and a hall; the loggia belongs to the two children's rooms.
In addition, there is a top floor, which can only be reached via the classic slide-in staircase.
The house has a full basement with a boiler room, a laundry room, a hobby room, a storage room and a staircase leading to the garden. Furthermore, there are sauna and shower!
Features:
The furnishings are kept simple; the original character of the house has thus been preserved. Regardless of this, a hand must be applied in order to carry out a renovation in keeping with the style, but also in accordance with modern requirements.
Parking options:
Single garage
Comments regarding parking situation:
There is one garage, one outdoor parking space and two other parking spaces next to or in front of the buildings.
Other data to the property:
The second building was erected on the property on the left in 1994 when the owner needed her own practice building. Although the outer masonry is made of hollow blocks, the wood also dominates here in a special way due to the roof truss, which is open on the inside (without a ceiling). In combination with the lovingly landscaped garden, a small oasis for relaxation and health should be created. Years later, the practice building became an apartment in which the owner spent the last years of her life.
It is important to know that the development of the neighboring building with water, electricity and heating was carried out from the old house.
