Description of location:
The upper part of Berger Straße changes its character from the extremely busy commercial street to a mixture of long-established and very popular traditional restaurants, smaller shops and cafes, practices and other small service providers, with apartments in a very unconventional mixture. Listed half-timbered houses, hundreds of years old, stand side by side with 5-6-storey residential buildings; old and new come together and side by side in a colorful dance and you can imagine what kind of life here hundreds of years ago rattled and sounded on cobblestones on the streets. Today it is the real heart of Berger Straße, which winds its way from Bethmann-Park northeast to the sports field in Seckbach, over a long 3 kilometers in a never-ending hustle and bustle. But here, at this point, shortly after the old town hall of Bornheim and the Äbbeloikneipe "Die Sonne", is the "funny village" - at least in old times. To live here means to live centrally and at the same time a little rural.
